چکیده

This paper proposes a virtual harvest-transmit model and a harvest-transmit-store model for amplify-andforward full-duplex relay (FDR) networks with power splittingbased simultaneous wireless information and power transfer. The relay node employs a battery group consisting of two rechargeable batteries. By switching periodically between two batteries for charging and discharging in two consecutive time slots of each transmission block, all the harvested energy in each block has been applied for full duplex transmission in the virtual harvest-transmit model. By employing energy scheduling, the relay node switches among the harvesting, relaying, harvestingrelaying, and idle behaviors at a block level, so that a part of the harvested energy in a block can be scheduled for future usage in the harvest-transmit-store model. A greedy switching policy is designed to implement the harvest-transmit-store model, where the FDR node transmits when its residual energy ensures decoding at the destination. Numerical results verify the outage performance of the proposed schemes.

Performance Analysis of cooperative SWIPT System: Intelligent Reflecting Surface versus Decode-and-Forward

In this paper, we explore the impacts of utilizing intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS) in a power-splitting based simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (PS-SWIPT) system and compare its performance with the traditional decode and forward relaying system. To analyze a more practical system, it is also assumed that the receiving nodes are subject to decoding cost, and they are on...

Joint Resource Optimization for Cognitive Sensor Networks with SWIPT-Enabled Relay

Energy-constrained wireless networks, such as wireless sensor networks (WSNs), are usually powered by fixed energy supplies (e.g., batteries), which limits the operation time of networks. Simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) is a promising technique to prolong the lifetime of energy-constrained wireless networks. This paper investigates the performance of an underlay cog...

Secure Full-Duplex Two-Way Relaying for SWIPT

This letter studies bi-directional secure information exchange in a simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) system enabled by a full-duplex (FD) multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) amplify-and-forward (AF) relay. The AF relay injects artificial noise (AN) in order to confuse the eavesdropper. Specifically, we assume a zeroforcing (ZF) solution constraint to eliminate the r...

Optimal Power Management to Minimize SER in Amplify and-Forward Relay Networks

This paper studies optimal power allocation to minimize symbol error rate (SER) of amplify-and-forward cooperative diversity networks. First, we analytically solve optimal power allocation problem to minimize SER for three different scenarios, namely, multi-branch single-relay, single-branch multi-relay and multi-branch multi-relay cooperative diversity networks, all subject to a given total re...

Throughput Maximization for Multi-Slot Data Transmission via Two-Hop DF SWIPT-Based UAV System

In this paper, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assisted cooperative communication system is studied, wherein a source transmits information to the destination through an energy harvesting decode-and-forward UAV. It is assumed that the UAV can freely move in between the source-destination pair to set up line of sight communications with the both nodes. Since the battery of the UAV may be limite...
